I’ve been flying worldwide for 3 years(13 years as a Korean regional flight attendant before) by now but have never been to Hong Kong. It was just not on my priority list.
You know I love the states and I hug every palm tree, when I’m back in my sunny California.
Hong Kong is a very popular destination and I finally had to see it myself. That said I bought a Lonely Planet, searched for interesting hashtags on Instagram and packed the Amelie dirndl in my suitcase to continue the journey of a dirndl. If you missed the first part, you can see it here. I had tons of plans and was excited to hit all the tourist spots, when it started raining while we drove up the street to the Peak. We were literally trapped in a huge cloud and couldn’t see anything but what feels like thick misty fog. How disappointing! And rain didn’t leave the city for the whole day.
We had plans to shoot the dirndl in Tsim Sha Tsui along the promenade, but decided last minute to do the shoot in our crew hotel.
As I mentioned before, Alpenherz Trachtenmanufaktur is specializing in designer and couture dirndl with modern sophisticated details yet in a traditional way to keep the original charm of this traditional dress. This dirndl has a high neck, which goes very well with the elegant tone-down light purple and the pattern of the bodice.
Look at this bathtub! Loved the open bathroom and the view of the Deluxe Suite.
A lovely breakfast was served in the cozy Club Lounge before we started with the photo shoot and even though it was pouring outside, we enjoyed every single bite with this exquisite view.
A big thanks goes out to General Manager J., who showed us around and organized all the things we needed for the shoot. :)
